Thank you for visiting our Wine Basics page. Following are answers to your general questions about Vineyards and our wines.

Q: How can a wine stain be removed?

A: Most wine stains can be removed from permanent press, cotton blends and cotton fabrics by sponging with undiluted white vinegar, as soon as possible. Launder or commercially dry clean. For red wine stains, immediately sponge area with white wine. Continue until red color is removed.

Q: Does the Fox Hill Vineyard provide tours?

A: Fox Hill Vineyards is not open to the public and does not provide tours.

Q: I received a postcard stating that refunds are not legal in my state. Why not?

A: The alcoholic beverage industry is highly regulated. The legality of rebate and refund promotions are generally determined by state law. Because each state has different laws and regulations, there can be a number of reasons why your participation in a particular refund promotion was not allowed. If you wish to have more specific information, you can  submit your comments to us through this website.

Q: What is the difference between Mountain Chablis and Golden Chablis?

A: These are two different chablis blends, with slightly different characteristics to meet the different flavor preferences of our white wine consumers. Both blends carry the same alcohol content (11.5%) and similar acid profiles. The variation is in the sweetness of the product: Mountain Chablis is a drier, crisper flavor (residual sugar of 1.0g/100ml), while Golden Chablis (residual sugar of 2.6g/100ml) offers a medium sweetness level with a bit more body. The different flavor profiles are achieved through selected blending of varietal grapes.
