About Oregon's Varietals

A varietal is simply a type of grape used in wine production. For example, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are two different types of grapes, having unique colors, flavors and characteristics.

With more than 40 different wine grape varietals grown throughout the state, Oregon produces a broad range of wines matched for every wine drinker's palette.

To help you better understand the grapes behind Oregon's wines, we have compiled a comprehensive guide to the varietals grown in this state. To begin, simply click on a category of wine.
